Not even fitty miles on the thing.... She sits in the garage now debadged, freshly waxed and re-waxed. After riding home last night, I adjusted the headlamp and put some PJ1 'Clear' on her chain. This morning I checked the air pressure, mounted a tail bag I had laying around, and loaded it up with my Tire Plugger kit, electric air pump, siphon tube, LED light, etc. I don't like how the handlebars are centered/angled, as the left grip clears the gas tank by maybe an eighth of an inch (!?!). The little cosmetic caps on the handlebar bolts must be seriously glued in place. Gonna hafta address that, might even replace them with some wider/lower bars. So I guess I should get dressed, ride to breakfast, and maybe set off to the dealership and seek their help getting those little caps off. A new day, a new bike, and feeling like a kid with a new Toy. Wouldn't you know it though, my work week starts in a few hours dammit..... cosmetic caps gonna hafta wait, I WANNA RIDE!  |
