Hi Gaoler - If I'm understanding correctly, the spacers were included with the hardware kit for the top case. I'd call the vendor and request them. You shouldn't have to buy them separately.

Here's the parts list from the instructions. The spacers you are referring to appear to be item #4.

No.....
Those spacers are just 5mm... I have those. They're supposed to go between the rear foot peg and the frame when you attach the top case rack or the side case mounting bars at the foot peg mounting point..

I had the bars already so the spacers were there... The only diff. between the ones on my bike and the ones I got with the tp case rail is colour...
The spacers I'm talkin' about are about 44mm long. They fill the gap between the side case mount and where the top case mount is bolted to where the grab bar used to be..

I have an email out to the shop... 'Should get an answere soon. If they're not avail. I'll just make a couple up out of aluminum round stock or somthing...
'Was asking for a part # 'cause it seems the easiest way to get stuff... Yup, the customer does all the work and the parts guy just places orders..

Well... 'No luck in sourcing the OEM spacers for my top box install
I used the stacked washer system just to see what it would look like and so far so good... 'Will go out tomorrow and get some 3/4"aluminum rod cut and drilled to replace the unsightly washers... I mean the bike has to look nice as well as function... right?
By using the OEM top rack and no-name top box as opposed to a Givi or Suzuki OEM I'm ahead by maybe $200-$250 Cdn.
'Not as pretty as a OEM top case, but the $200 saved wil buy me at least ten to twelve tanks of gas

A couple of photos...

hi, i have bought the new 09 (k9) 650 model and bought the oem topbox rack.....which didnt fit so suzuki sent it to a dealership near me to adjust it (made it 1inch longer were it attaches to the rear footpegs)
im looking at getting pannier rack now but not too sure about the oem side racks for 2 reasons,
i like the idea of the sw motech of being able to remove it with under a minute
and secondly im not so keen on how high the indicators are located, i prefer the givi or sw motech locate theres further in and lower down (on the reflector)

the only thing is i don't know if either the givi or sw motech fit around the standard oem suzuki rack....anyone have any ideas??
oh and would it be possible to use the sw motech quick lock system on givi?
many thanks
