Okay, so I'm an idiot (don't everybody rush to agree). I was trying to go right at a Yield sign, the sun was in my eyes, I couldn't tell if I was going to need to come to a full stop, I slowed down too much with the fork turned and went down before I knew it...incidentally in the middle of the busiest interersection in my small town (I envisioned that everyone I knew or ever will know was there watching). In the midst of my humiliation, a fellow biker came out of nowhere with those reassuring words, "Don't worry, brother, I've done it myself!" and helped me upright the bike. So here it is about a week later, and I've just about stopped having nightmares. That naseous feeling is almost gone. Anyway, there are some almost imperceptible scratches on the engine casing ('07 Bandito 1250S). You would really never see them if you didn't know exactly where to look. To me, of course, they look like gaping, sucking chest wounds. You know how the engine casing on this beast has that whitish coating (I'm not even sure what it is...powder?). Anyone have any idea how I might fill in/cover up these admittedly minor scratches? Signed, Humbled in Georgia |
