|  Breakin it in  Hi. I have done my research, and I have ofcourse heard what the makers have to say on this, But I want to ask you about how your bandit(or other bike) was broken in and how it went( compared?) My story: I have had two brand new bikes- both single 4 stroke air cooled 125cc scooters. first one was a suzuki adres V125- very compact and quite renown here in Japan. I broke it in according to the dealer/maker- avoiding high speeds at first( high speed means high rpms , no gears  )-- result :it never gave me problems, but after about 13000 km I could feel the engine is a bit ..tired. top speed was about 95kmh.
