No offense, but one of my pet peeves is the whole 'blaming the blind spot' thing.
Cars don't have blind spots, bad drivers do.
<on topic: FWIW, i am a much better driver now that i ride. i do a head check before changing lanes in my truck and everything . . . turn signals, you name it. riding a bike has conditioned me into a better driver.>
