I have purchased a new Savage 652cc and it back fires when deaccelerating. The dealer claims that this is common with these bikes and states that there is nothing can be done

The other problem is a loud whine again when deaccelerating. The dealer claims that it is the belt drive and again there is nothing that can be done.

Can anyone tell me if they have had similar problems and what was done.
