Since I am back in the gym quite a bit, it is interesting to see the differences of "calorie" burn-off on the different machines. Bikes, stairmasters, treadmills etc. On some of the machines it feels like I am working out real hard, and not burning off much according to the onboard computer. Others, feels like I am not doing a lot, but burning more. Treadmill comes to mind there.
One machine that I know is kind of skimpy on handing out the burned calories is the StepMill. Basically a rolling staircase. An ***-kicker for sure. That one gives me the best workout of all the machines. So I just let my body tell me that I'm doing well
