I practiced a figure 8 in a parking lot using four parking spaces then worked to cut it down. The actual figure 8 in Maryland is two connected 15 foot circles. In my test I had to accelerate get into third gear and stop in 200 feet. I blew this by ten feet but was let off because I used a 250, and looked at the tester and said it will not accelerate that fast. He shrugged and passed me. The only other recomendations I could make would just repeat prior posts. Good luck. Also, a quick note, you may want to check out Bikeline.com.
