4 wires from the tach. Black and Blue are the light circuit, no problem. The other two, red and green. One goes to a coil, where does the other go. I've tried every combination and the tach doesn't respond. The tach is new but I'm thinking it may be defective.
- one wire on each coil terminal shorts out the coil, the bike runs on one cylinder
- either wire to either side of the coil, the other to ground, no response.
- the instructions(?) said to put one wire to battery, the other to the coil. Whatever, that didn't work either.
The dealerships only want to sell you new bikes and clothes, they don't know either.
If anyone can help, I would sure appreciate it. Thanks...
