The Mobile Bay Vintage Motorcycle Clubstaged their 9th Annual Dauphin Island Motorcycle show today. I rode over to see it and decided to enter the Interceptor, my recently aquired 1998 BMW R110RT-P. There was no catagory for "sport tourers or X-Police Motorcycles, so it was dumped into the "Dresser Class" because "its got saddle bags and it isn't old enought to be in the vintage class.
Boy was I suprised when they announced the Inteceptor took second in the in Class. I guess those Harley guys just couldn't let one of those Honda Goldwings in with their beloved Hogs. Even a "Kraut" bike's better than one of those damed rice burners!
In case you were wondering what everyone was lookin at in the first picture.....here it is the bike that won 1st prize in the "Dresser Class."
Thank goodness this 1948 Indian was in the Vintage Class or I'd of went away empty handed!!
