Introducing myself Greetings to all. My thanks to all who have posted. Iv'e gotten alot of food for thought here. I am just winding up my first season mostly on a Kawasaki ZR7. I and now a week into my '03 gixxer 1000 which I put up for the season. My primary goals were to survive my first season and to enjoy the ride, I figure most mistakes would happen in the zone where I learn to ride fast and straight but can't really control the bike. Having passed this season with humility, I enjoyed the ZR7. I didn't really need or intend to buy the Gixxer but I came across a deal to good to pass up. Also my "biking coach" wanted to see me in a better tuned bike as he believes that the beginner is better off with what he terms the best. The Gixxer definitely takes ego control but so far I've not had problems staying away from areas I don't "feel". I respect Her and understand She'll kill me. Quickly. Iv'e stood her up twice accidentally, but that's not why I love her. I love her for the much better conscious contact with the road as I wind the curves than the Kaw. I'm a cornerer as opposed to a straight speed freak. The startight and fast I not my ride and that's what kept me away from the Hyabusu. Don't want to ramble, just introduce myself as I expect to be an active participant to the group with far more questions than experience.
