Default How to know if you have a Califoria V-star 1100?

Hello everyone,
First post on this site for me (well technically 2nd, posted this in the wrong forum). But I had a question about how you can tell if you have the California version of the V-star 1100 Classic.

I've been looking into getting cobra pipes for my bike but as I look around, it looks like some pipes don't fit the 04-05 California V star. My bike is the 2004 version.

My bike has shown me some signs it might be a California version but I can't be sure. Basically I had a venting issue with my gas tank, and to make a long story short, I had to modify the gas cap a little to make it vented. Apparently there is no vent tube on my gas tank but the bike has the tube that connects to the port on the tank (which I think is only for California version). I think what happened was the person who had it before me wrecked the bike, and replaced everything, but got a non-CA version of the gas tank but kept the CA version of the gas cap (Which isn't vented).

I could be wrong about this though. I'm pretty new to these type of bikes.

Anyway, if someone would let me know or have an idea of how to find out that would be great.

Thanks,
