Hello from Nevada!

My name is Michael, I ride a Yamaha 1100 Silverado. I am a riding retread. I rode street bikes as a kid. I had to stop though when I got obsessed with speed and a total lack of respect for the bike. Well that and the permanent asphalt tatoos and other scars.

Now 20 years later I am back.

I got the bug from my sister. She had a scooter in Tucson and while visiting her, I hopped on. Mistake. I was hooked again and figured I grew up enough to ride again. Especially when we stopped in a store in Tucson to get a helmet and tripped over this really nice Yamaha cruiser. The price was too good to pass up. So I bought the 07 1100 Silverado. I cruised around with my sister while in Tucson then rode it back home, 800 miles.

I haven't looked back and have put 12,000 miles on it since last year. Mostly in long distance rides. I got back from a 3000 mile ride recently across the desert southwest. My girl (Debbie) and I took a quick 700 mile trip to Death Valley and back, 2 up and had a blast.

I also love to write about my trips and snap some images along the way. So look for my ride stories. Others seem to like them and I hope you do to.
