Tar snakes are bad news when it rains, and even worse when it's really hot ... I was going up a hill last summer, and hit a tar snake in the middle of a curve. As Dale would say, I had to extract the seat from between my cheeks after that ride ... definitely a higher "pucker factor" on that one ...
