Pinhy we live in Florida, it always rains in Florida. Damn near every summer day at 4pm it rains in Florida. Florida is one big swamp with buildings on it cause it rains so much. Florida actually means rain in Seminol. You WILL need to learn how to ride in the rain or you'll be stuck in odd places for hours till it clears.
So just increase your following distance, really slow down for corners and curves, keep the bike as upright as possible and use both brakes gingerly as you can to slow or stop. And the roads aren't nearly as slick 20-30 mins into the rain as when it first hits the ground and lifts all those sitting patches of oil, antifreeze and greese (ie Florida Ice).
Cheers!!
