i found the opposite, but it could be the different shaped heads...

Umm, I think you proved my point, the hjc was a medium and the scorpion was a large according to you. The helmets I tried were the same size (xl I think). You needed to go up a size in the scorpion in order to have it fit compared to the hjc.
