Default Riding season has officially begun...

in the northern reaches of Cowboy State! Rode the 1300 to work for the first time this year, and although the trip in was a bit chilly (22 degrees, but that was above zero so it wasn't toooooooo bad ) the ride home was delicious...63 and sunny with virtually no wind. My Galaxy Blue baby made it through the winter okay and still runs strong (despite my having to leave it outside under a cover since I wasn't able to finish her garage last year before the bad weather hit).

I must've seen 30 other folks two-wheelin' it too and they all were wearing big grins. (That's cool coz there's no bugs yet to get in yer grill!) Even the deer stayed out of my way and I only had to grab some brake for some turkeys crossing the road. The mountains are still covered with snow, so the scenery was awesome since I rode right up the base of them ('bout 5500 feet up and the snow's still down around the 5600 foot mark) and I even got to see some elk heading back up to their loftier haunts.

Now I'm gonna' top it off with a frosty pilsner and a nice stogie out on the porch while watching the sun fall down on the Bighorns...life is good ladies and gents. May your rides be as trouble-free and fun as mine!
