Folks, I'm sorry. I fat-fingered the year. It's an '02. Big difference, uh?

Anyway, I spoke with the previous owner today and he said he as already replaced the friction plates and springs it the bike once.

I'm going to try break the plates loose and see what happens. If it happens again, I'll pull the clutch apart and check the basket for wear marks/grooves that the plates might hangup in.
