Fuel Filter Cleanup or Replacement
I was talking to a friend of mine who's a pretty knowledgeable car mechanic and works on a few carbeurated motorcycles here and there.. he said that if the fuel filter was clogged up, it would decrease the gas flow and cause the bike to run lean, which happens to be my problem. When i first had the bike, It ran great. After awhile, it started acting up and many of you all said the symptoms sounded like it was running lean... and that they come that way fromt eh factory, but not that frigging bad. So my theory is somethings gotten clogged. By the way, I ride a 2005 Boulevard C50T
First question... Is this a possibility?
Second question... If so, can I clean it out or will I just ahve to replace it alltogether, and if so, will I have to buy an oem part or what?
third question... Where on God's green earth is the friggin fuel filter located? I've looked everywhere for a manual to fix it. All I've come up with is the fuel pump... not the same thing is it?
Comments and feedback greatly appreciated.
