Just to let you know my procedure: - Remove tail turn signal housing.
- Remove rear reflector, held by a nut from the inside of housing.
- Cut a 1/8"x1.5" alum bar down to fit snug into the reflector recess.
- Drill holes diagonally 3/4" around the center of the alum. bar for SS 8-32X1/2" phillips head machine screw.
- Countersink holes in alum bar and tap 8-32 holes in the housing.
- Install screws.
- Drill 1/2" hole, from the back side of housing, through the alum. bar & deburr or install a grommet.
- Mark holes for bezel mount on alum bar.
- Drill and tap marked holes for SS 8-32X3/4" SHCS. If the screws are a bit too long then grind them flush on the back side of alum. bar.

Hope this helps. It will be interesting to see if I get pulled over for this light. It has several program modes for strobe and one for solid. |
I ordered my yesterday too. With the chrome bezel. I hadn't looked inside the reflector housing yet tho.
The dump trucks that we run where I work have the led brake/turn lights.
They are set on the 2 or 3 flash and then steady mode.
LED's are tough! We also use them on snowplow wings and the only problem we have had is having them vibrate so bad it breaks the mounts that we made for them. They almost never burn out. We haven't had one burn out yet.
