Thanks, I appreciate the info but it looks like more than I’m wanting to spend. I already kinda went over budget so I’m probably just going to end up doing something I can do myself. I actually hear powder coating is really cheap, it’s the prep work involved that’s time consuming and expensive. It seems I have perked others interest so if anyone wants to make these pipes and go with a different finish I would love to see how they come out. Especially that polished aluminum heat blocking for the chrome junkies. I bet that would come out nice

Yeah, your absolutely right. They don’t get as hot as I thought they would but I went on a 2 hour ride last night and when I got off my jeans were kinda burned. Not visibly, but they felt rough and I could see meted fibers on the pipe. So I like your idea for the heat shield. It was in the low 40’s last night so that may have helped keep the heat from getting outa control.
