I wear a pair of Bates Ultra Lights, 13 EW (Extra Wide) zipper boot. NOT water proof, though Bates does make a waterproof boot they do NOT recommend it for bike riding, as the lace area will let water in.
These are uniform boots, take a good polish, and are comfortable all day. I have a Suzuki Boulevard w/paddle shift and don't have to worry about my arches feeling wear on a footpeg, so these do fine for me. I'll be getting my 2nd pair soon.
My daughter also has a pair, she can hop off the bike and go straight in to work in them, no problems.
