 Rm80 Help
I have a 96 rm80 but I have not rode it much. I bougt it and went riding the next day. We rode for about 30 minutes and then it began to lose power, as if there was a rev limiter halfway through the rpm range. If I shifted it would come right back up to the same revs and no farther. It eventually lockup. I brought it home and it woud turn over but the rings were fried. I rebuilt the top end and it fired right up. I rode it a couple of times around the neighborhood for a few minutes at a time and no problems. So, I went riding yesterday and I was in the woods for 30 minutes and the same thing happened again. Only this time it shot steam out of the radiator overflow hose. I am thinking the water pump is out of it but if anyone has any others opinions please let me know. Thanks so much.
