Default Insufficient Current is running through my batterey

1986 suzuki sp 125 6v electronic system.

I hook up a batterey charger to the pos and neg terminals to go 6v. Everything works well signals, lights bells whistles ect ect. I disconnect the charger and check the terminal voltage running through at idle with a dig multimeter.. Only 3v even when the engine is reved up 3 or 4v coming through... I believe at idle it should come around 7-9v to constantly charge the batterey.. Why is there only 3v coming through.. I thought it might be a bad connection in grounf wire or pos batterey.. Corossion.. Which could be the problem... But when i run 6v through the wires the bike electronic system is very happy.

There is a stator... umm... The spark is strong.. VERY strong.. (Never stick finger in plug socket and kick the engine over.)

Any suggestions are appreciated... I will check the wiring to make sure of no corossion.. There may be some around the pos terminal at the fuses.. other than a bad conection.. What could it be... Stator... ???
