Default Whats up? From out of town?

Im a new guy here, I found this website looking for a place to talk about bikes and to learn and get help with mine. So far it looks like a really nice place, hopefully it is. I have a 2001 Suzuki Marauder VZ800, which was bought for me from my Dad. Its the only vehicle I ever got that I didnt pay for. When I was 17 and this bike first came out, I wanted it so bad. Ive never been able to find a bike that really fit me very well. This one did perfectly, but I was denied for a loan, and I definatly didnt have the money right then and there. I was still paying for my truck and all the other bills I had at a young age.

I recently got the bike, I dont have any pics, but I'll get some up pretty soon. Its really just your stock bike, except the guy before me put on a custom Vance & Hines exhaust system on it. I plan on doing a heck of alot more to this bike by time Im done. Ive already ridden it enough to know what I want to do to it. But Im having alot of trouble finding the parts I want for it. One thing I never knew about the bike was that the ignition was electronically controlled, so that definatly takes alot of fun right there.

I was wanting to performance out this bike, nothing too radical, I mainly want it because like I said it fits me, and the fact that it was bought for me, makes me very attached to it. The things I want to do to it are alot, but here are a few things that I need help figuring out that I want to do to it.

1. Upgrade the ignition system for more performance, ACCEL has a performance coil kit that I would love to put on this bike, but like I said I didnt know that this bike is computer controlled. I looked at the coils the other day while the tank was off and noticed that it is really just a coil that has some wires going in one side, and the actualy coil wire coming out of the other end going to the plug. So I figured the ACCEL kit wouldnt work.

2. I really wanted to put a hypercharger on it, but I can only find them for bigger engines, and I found one somewhere for an Intruder 800 and a Vulcan 800. I dont know if maybe I could get the one for the Intruder and just modify the base so it'll fit my bike. Also wanted a K&N air filter, for some reason I cant even find that.

3. Clutch springs and plates, obviously I hear they slip after a while, so I'll go ahead and replace them now, mine dont, but I know they are still stock.

4. A stage kit for the carbs, which if I could somehow put a hypercharger and a performance ignition system with the K&N air filter, to go along with my exhaust, I would go with a stage 2.

These are just some of the things I want to do to my bike, the rest of the things I have found, or I'll figure out a way to build. I already have to replace the tank, the original owner let it sit for about 2 or 3 years, and never took the gas out, and the gas just rusted the hell out of the tank. There were acutally small holes through out the tank. Luckily, I came across one, but it has a dent right at the curve, but I dont care, I'll bondo it smooth and paint it. Hopefully I'll get some pics I can put up, maybe as I modify and customize her, I'll be able to post pics and then a before and after.

Sorry for the long first post, but Im just happy I found a place that seems to know what they are talking about, hopefully I can find some help here. I went to school online for motorcycle mechanics, probably the dumbest thing I ever did. Though I did learn how a bike works in all parts, I didnt learn anything about fixing them. They should really change the name of the program to just, Motorcycle basics.
