 V-Star "short gearing"??
I've read a lot of references to the V-Star's "short gearing". Specifically, I've read a number of comments from owners of the 650 and 1100 models saying that they "wish it had a 6th gear".
My question is does that "need" for a 6th gear tend to be an issue with the V-Stars only (is it Yamaha related)?...or more typically can that be said of any bike of the 650 to 1100 size?
As I've written before, I'm anxious to check out the new 950 Star model and I'll be curious to see/read if that same feeling of a need for a 6th gear exists with that cycle too.
