i had the same problem i first started with cleaning out the carb but that didnt work so i used my dads compression tester and it ended up that it didn't have enough compression due to 2 scores over the exhaust ports and a gouge in the piston and ring. the first thing i would do is check the compression it should be somewhere between 110- 130 psi to kickstart good luck
