Hey guys & girls - I wanted to give a quick intro...more about my bike than me...it is more interesting and way prettier


I have a 79 GS1000 that I bought in April of this year. She wasn't running and had sat out for a very apparent loooooong period (with gas in her of course) and I decided to take a chance on her....

Turns out she was a princess waiting to be woken up.... instead of a kiss, it took some elbow grease, some head scratching, some pretty hard to find parts, and a little ability to fashion replacements for the seemingly impossible to find parts.

She is a little sick right now...of, course that is why I am here!

I am also posting a thread named Chain Trouble GS1000 in the classic section - if ya'll are kind enough to take a read and answer if you have any ides, I sure would appreciate it.

She is my daily runner and I am moving to TX from WA in about 2 weeks, (I was planning on riding her) If I don't figure out how to fix her very soon I will have to leave her here and I would hate to do that!
