Any one of your covers that is loose can cause a "ticking" sound. Also, if you have monkeyed with your pipes and did not replace your crush gaskets you WILL get a ticking sound if they are not properly seated. Another sign of this is high speed decel pop, oh excuse me BANG!! Just ask Tricker about that one. I think I blew his ears out.
