As for the mpg being b/c of more rev, I can see that first when I did it, but I just took a trip and concentrated on not revving and accellerating quickly, and the mpg was the same. |
I felt a slight power increase with the full de-baffle, but I'm not ruling out wishful thinking. To me I really think going from drilled to full de-baffle made it run like stock pipes, just louder and possibly with more umf. the main difference between the d-baffle and straight pipes is the volume goes up a bit and that gassy sound goes away. I really like the sound of the straights. Its enough to make a bit of a ruckus, but not too much so that your neighbors hate you. My neighbor has told me that when i pull up he can hear me but, the noise isn't intrusive and often he doesn't even notice it if the TV or music is going in his house. To me, that's the perfect volume for a guy in the suburbs.
