Say we bought a bike in AB and ride it to B.C. do you know how to register/insure the bike for the trip home. Since you guys have only one-tax, do we pay the PST in B.C.

I think you're screwed there.
In Alberta you have 2 weeks to switch over the registration, but you need valid insurance day 1. If I remember from having lived in Manitoba, you will still get raped by the BC government when you register in BC and being nailed for the PST at that time. You may want to check with your provider.
The single sheepskins are 79 bucks here
