I'm loving the new bike so far. All I want to do is ride. Put on a hundred miles the first day and loved every minute of it.
However, a tragedy happened. I have been babying this bike since I got it, but today after I got done with work, I decided to go for a ride. I was traveling on some back roads when I turned off onto a road I had never been down before. I thought it looked like a nice road. Well, after about a mile, once I got over this small hill, all of a sudden the road turned into gravel. I laid the bike down. The damage was a scrapped up knee, some harsh scratches in the front fender, a few in the gas tank, and the side mirror. Could have been worse, but I feel really frustrated and disappointed right now. Brand new bike only four days old and already damaged.... |

to M-J! Sorry to hear about your bike. At least your okay. Bike parts can be replaced. I've ridden down a road that suddenly turned into gravel, not fun. I was surprised I didn't lay it down then. All I remember was thinking Do not lock the brakes, squeeze evenly, squeeze evenly.
