Default Riser Spacer install tips

I will be shipping more spacer's next week, the other threads got pretty long, and I thought this might help, anyone getting ready to do it.
Please add any thing you found helpful. also This will help me, I wont have to send detailed instructions with each package.

All packages will shipped USPS Priority Mail or Priority International, any going to US address's should be there in 2-3 days, other Country's time was any where from 6-12 days.

Packages, are boxes 10"x7"x2" in size, and will fit in most mail boxes.

I'm also sending nuts and washers, this time, they are only to remove the stock studs, use stock hard wear for install.
You might need to pick up a stud remover.
also one person added if you leave the handle bars upside down over night, check your brakes, before you ride.

Here is some tips to help your install go smooth, I have had mine on and off 5-6 times through out this project.
and read all this, info...you will find what others have done, some of the studs seem to be very tight.

#1 Take your time, and protect your bike, with cardboard and towels, (last thing I want to hear, is horror stories, on installs).

#2 I always did all this by myself, but if you can find a spare set of hands, use them, it will help.

#3 Make sure you install short threaded end of new stud, into the stock riser, or you will end up taking it out.

#4 I found it easier to lay the bars over the gas tank to remove stock studs, with the studs facing the front wheel, its easier to work on, (protect the gas tank and gages)

#5 make sure you use a closed end wrench(14mm)(17mm with nuts I send this time), the studs can be tight, and you don't want to round the head of the nut off with a slipping, open end wrench.

#6 Slide the closed end wrench (14mm) or(17mm with nuts I send)over the stud, then put the 1st nut on back wards(with the nuts I send, disreguard this), so the flange is facing the end of stud, then put Lock washer over stud, and install the last nut the way it came off, the 2 flanges will be in contact, with the washer.
slip the wrench that's over stud, on 1st nut, hold it in place, now use a 14mm or (17mm with nuts I send) socket and ratchet over the end nut and tighten then together.
Now you can remove the stud, using the wrench over the stud. (If the nut turns, as you try, there not tight enough together).
Remove nuts and repeat, on other stud.

#7 Once the stock studs are removed, the rest is easy, Install new studs, short threaded end in riser, I just used a pair of vise grips, just install it until it is snug, don't have to be super tight.

#8 Now turn the bars over, (handlebars over head light, studs toward tank), This is the only way you will get studs in the holes, also this is where the 2nd person really comes in handy, slide the spacers over the studs(raised circles, fit in stock riser), then the stock washers that were under the rubber base, then the rubber base.
Ends up fitting like LEGO's...lol. Now while that 2nd set of hands holds everything in place, lift up on handlebars, as other person holds spacers and stuff in place and lifts with you. As they guide studs into holes, roll bars forward and they will slide in....(warn 2nd set of hands to watch fingers).
If you do this by your self, I was using elec. tape to hold stuff in place, just be careful the studs will scratch the triple tree, very easy....I got a couple wounds, on mine.(not bad, but was mad at self for doing it)

#9 Now Stop, and make sure all cables are in front of risers, don't laugh, I had to remove and start over once...its very easy, for the cables to get moved around as your moving handlebars back and forth.

#10 Re-install the rubber washer and steel washer and a nut on each stud, tighten...Almost done.

#11 Make sure you check cable play, turn all the way to left and right, check cables at each point, The only cable that was snug for me, was throttle cable with bars at full right, no problems with full left at all.....I just pulled on it lightly and there was slack under tank....and had plenty.

#12 Check your mirrors and hand controls, and if you want, roll bars back a little, there is a dot, on bars, that from factory lines up with slot in riser clamp, I moved mine back, just a touch, I thought it felt ,much better with bars sitting a little bit higher....you be the judge.

I know this was long winded, but I want everyone to have a smooth install, and get back to riding, so you can tell me what you think about the spacers. I know the 1st day I rode with them, it was such a change, and now all I need, is to do something with the stock seat...lol

Happy Riding All
