 01 cr 80
My son has an 01 cr80. Someone borrowed it and when they returned it was blowing out an excessive amount of oil from the exhaust side of the head and running like %%%%. I figured it needed a top end, so I have since replaced the piston, rings, cylinder and head. It's not dumping oil but I can't get it to run right. It seems to be a fuel delivery problem. I've completely gone through the carb, I've set the needle at every setting, I can get it to idle fine and it rips at the top end, but right off idle and through the mid range it wants to fall on it's face or die. the reeds look ok but I don't know enough about two strokes to tell, and I don't want to keep throwing money at this for parts it doesn't need, I know I probably already have. Any advise anyone has for me wuold be greatly appreciated.
