I plan on riveting the belts to the bag, Hobby lobby has a cheap riveting kit in their leather section, holds up really well as long as you get them on all the way, I use them to make leather armor. | I got these on eBay for $80, seven bags in the set with two rain covers. They were called Buffalo Leather Saddle Bags. They came with the two saddle bags, sissy bar bag, tool bag, windshield bag, barrel/roll bag and the back pack bag. I asked him if the back pack bag had a way to mount it to the sissy bar and he said it does but it doesn't. All in all I think they're pretty good (can't go wrong for $80) although you're right about watching the loops. I already saw the stitching coming out on the sissy bar bag so I took it off. I contacted the merchant and he's sending me a whole new set. I offered to repair them locally with a slight refund to compensate for the cost of the repair or return the two that are defective but this is what he wanted to do. I'm still unsure if he wants this set back and if he does I hope he includes a prepaid return label because I don't feel like spending $20 to return a whole set of bags when only two of them were damaged. The barrel bag's plastic clip is being pushed in by too much leather around it so it's in a constant state of release, not a good idea if it was put on the rear rack using those straps. Thanks for the suggestion about the rivet tool at Hobby Lobby. I might just go there tomorrow and pick one up just to make sure. My tool bag has one long leather loop that the belt goes through. It was a pain in the butt to get it through there too.
