I completely agree that it's probably an overused phrase. I also don't think that a 600R class bike can be "outgrown" in the sense that has been talked about here. If you're looking to go faster in the straights, or blow through the 1/4 mile, ON THE TRACK, i suppose you could move up to a liter bike or bigger. But outgrowing a an R6 or CBR600RR or similar bike and moving to it's big brother for street usage? No way, as it is, the 600 is going to outhandle the liter bikes in the twisties, which is where most people want to put them to the test and really ride em anyhow. Sure it might be more of a challenge to push a 1000 to the limits, but those are limits that you just can't reach on the streets IMHO.
