 Hi you all, Found a New 1985 Yamaha XJ700 Maxim
I need some hints in getting this bike road worthy. I know it needs new tires, tank and carbs cleaned out. The bike was stored dry, no battery,no oil, no gas, still fluid in brake master cylinder and tranny. I looked in the gas tank and it shows little rust spots. I am wondering what I should do to get the engine moving without tearing anything up? How should I get the carbs loaded? This bike has 500 miles on it, for real.....other than a little aluminum corrosion on the block and cracked/flaked off chrome on the plated plastic breather cover. This thing looks like a peach with a lot of dust on it from being stored for years. I'd love to take any suggestions.
