I waited just a bit to long after the Christmas holidays to get scheduled for my seat modification at MeanCityCycles, and ended up having to do it May 26th. I shipped it out last Monday, and it shipped out from MeanCity today (Tuesday) and I should have it back by Friday.

We had beautiful weather over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, and it absolutely killed me not to be able to ride because of no seat. I did, however have the time to work on some items that needed tending to, that probably would not have gotten taken care of otherwise.

1) I had running lights running directly through the Aux connector in the headlight bucket, and had the time go ahead and install a, much needed, relay to protect the Ignition switch.

2) I was able to score a very nice used MC Enterprises Engine Guard for $50, and had the time to figure out a way to use it with my John's Kits Forward Controls. By the time my seat gets here on Friday, I will have the Engine Guard installed and will be ready to ride more safely than before.

The point here is that, even though it has been killing me not to ride, the weather has been wet and rainy, except for the actual Memorial Day weekend, and I was afforded the time to do some very necessary things to my bike that I probably would not have done if I had been able to ride.

There is always a positive side to these things, if you choose to see it.
