I spent two years renovating a 1966 BSA lightning from the ground up. I did all the work bar the powdercoat to the frame and bits and the chroming. I remember spending over 12 hours polishing one of the engine case...loved every minute of the reno but the ride was a bit tame so I sold it after owning it a further two years.

I tried to attach a couple of pics but as yet while writing this don't know if it worked...hope it did The bike was complete dog when I got it and wouldn't run for more than a minute.
