Personally I think it would be a good idea to get a smaller used bike for the first season and then sell it for close to the buying price next year. But if you are intent on the M109 now then go for it but be very wary until you get used to it. The fact that you rode 600cc crotch rockets shows you can handle the power, it will just be a case of handling the bigger bike at slow speeds that will be a little dodgy at first.
