It's gonna be hard to get Americans to go small. We have too many toys, and need a big truck/SUV to haul them around.

Big motorhome toy box to haul the kiddos to the MX races in.
25' boat to go fishing.
40' race trailer w/ living quarters.
35' enclosed trailer to take the show car to the shows in.
24' trailer to haul the ATV's up to the riding park.
30' horse trailer to go to the rodeo's

Nope, smart cars won't go over big here, neither will tiny pick-ups. Big dually 4x4 diesel trucks rule (at least in TX ) But maybe not for long.
