I found the Gixxer to have more things. For instance in 04 the Kawi didn't come with a rear seat cover and the steering stabalizer. The Gixxer in short came with more stuff. Even simple things such as 4 way blinkers. What it came down to me though, was I thought the Gixxer just looked better with the styling. Not just the lines..but the color scheme.
