My diagnosis is that you are subconsciously worried that the gloves will lessen your finger/hand sensitivity and are unknowingly compensating by gripping the hand grips a little tighter thereby causing early hand fatigue (aka white knuckling it!). I find that I am more comfortable with good fitting gloves rather than riding bare-handed because the extra grip relaxes me, ensuring that my grip is good.
