I learned to ride on a sport bike and only rode for a season 3 years ago before I sold the bike. I was very natural at riding and handled well without any issues. Although I have not come close to dangerous situations, but I rode good 2000 miles without an incident. It was a 600cc sport bike.
I have been saving for a while and this time I want to buy a cruiser. I have priced out 08 Vulcan 900 Classic and 08 Boulevard C50LE but I have always wanted a M109R.
I am a very careful person and react well to numerous situation. However, I am only 5'6" 175 lbs. I have sat on M109R, and thought it was extremely heavy as it is ~1800cc bike, but thought I could handle it as I was waddling back and forth on it.
I know myself well and I know I will get bored right away if I settle on a bike that I can handle at this time. Also, I am married, but don't have a baby planned for 2 years, so this will be the last big spending I can afford without worrying about other finances.
Please talk me out of it or into it.....I will be buying this new as I don't see too many options where I live (Fargo, ND) without adding on shipping issues.
