I'm heading over the Newburgh bridge into Beacon when the bike starts to sputter and loose power. I smoothly reach down, flip the lever to reserve and continue on my way to the gas station. What was cool was that its the first time ran out of gas, and I have never practiced reaching for the lever while riding. I pulled it off like I knew what I was doing
Later on I pull on to Rt9. Its a posted 35 I scan my mirrors and a car is bearing down on me like a rocket, I trow open the throttle and pull ahead as he keeps coming for me, putting just enough distance on us so he has room to slow down about 2 ft behind my ass. The rest of the way trough town he stayed about 50yds behind me till I pulled off.
Close call but tonight everything just clicked right.
