Another idle problem...
First of all, hello everyone! I just bought a GSX750f (upgraded from a Buell Blast) and I'm sure I'll be on here all of the time.
On to the problem... I rode this bike 2 days ago and it ran beautifully. The owner dropped it off today and the first time I start it up (and everytime since) it will stay at about 1100 RPM for about 5 seconds and then shoot up to 3000 and finally stop climbing at 5000RPM. It does this every time I have the clutch in, but I was able to drive it around the block like this because when the clutch isn't engaged or the bike isn't in neutral, it runs normally. This of course makes shifting a very dangerous and delicate procedure.
I've seen a few people have had this problem, but the only thing I gained from their experiences was where the petcock positions are. The bike WAS in PRI when I started it up and rode it (about 1/4 mile total) so I moved it to the ON position.
The throttle seems to have slack in it, and I have zero clue where the idle adjuster is.
So basically, how could this have happened in two days and what do I do to fix it?
