I am always amazed at the local hype (in Memphis) regarding West Nile Virus (dun, dun, DUUUNNNNN!!!). They go to all this effort to educate the public about leaving an ounce of water in an old coke can for fear of breeding mosquitoes with West Nile Virus (dun, dun, DUUUNNNNN!!!), then I go to the homeland [removes hat and looks SSE with a tear in his eye] and my PaPaw's house is located a hundred yards from 100,000 gallons of perfectly stagnant water. It makes me think that the locals (in Memphis) are either looney or just plain dumb.
