Mine does the same thing, but take a look under your gas tank, and how huge those heads are on that 1900cc engine. I actually will ride in shorts sometimes when it is warm, and I can avoid it. You just have to not drop your thigh directly on it. If it really bothers you, you can probably get some chaps to help shield you. A smaller engine would fit better under there, but what good would that be?
I just recently had the gas tank off of mine to put the air kit on, those heads are MASSIVE, and air cooled, so they give off a lot of heat.
