Years ago, I was eating a piece of candy called a "Nip" at my sister-in-law's house. Somehow, it cemented itself to my upper and lower molars. When I separated my teeth, whalla!! the cap comes off one of them.
If you ever have a cap come off, immediately put it back in place. This will keep your teeth from moving around before you can get to the dentist. If they move, all bets are off and you may need a new cap.
As it was, I put it back in and only needed a little adhesive.
Here's the funny (there's always a funny): When the dentist asked how it happened, I said (with a straight face), "Well, Doc, I was gnawing away on one of my sister-in-laws Nips . . ."
