I'm going to an engineering show next week and am thinking of buying a small digital camera that's easy to carry around in pocket. I'll be taking pictures of how the other guys builder their stuff and I want a camera that's convenient and sturdy enough to put in a pocket. I already have a Canon IS camera that while not too big just isn't something I want to stick in a pocket. I do like the image stabilization feature though.
My long range plans for this camera is going to be for taking on my motorcycle rides. Again it would be nice if it fits in a pocket, but I don't want to waste money by not getting the right features. If the camera gets too big, well I already have one of those (3.2 megapixels.)
I know there are some serious camera buffs here, so what features would be recommended?
Is this a good plan or not?
Any comments, suggestions?
I'm just an average photographer, have a few cameras, have taken a few pictures, but nothing that ever looks that good.
Thanks,
-Mike
